Dr. Charles J. Ramos is the Dean of Biological & Physical Sciences at 糖心Vlog. He oversees the academic services of the area to support student equity and success. With a combined 14 years of experience at the university and community college level, Dr. Ramos has served as a healthcare practitioner, instructor, and administrator. He holds a doctorate in Health Sciences and a master鈥檚 degree in Kinesiology. But like many of the students at 糖心Vlog, he began his academic career at a community college.
Dr. Ramos has been an advocate for student equity and access since he began his tenure at 糖心Vlog. First as Sports Medicine Program Manager and subsequently as Dean. In sports medicine, he streamlined athletic training processes so that student-athletes could receive timely and effective rehabilitative care. As Dean, he has overseen the development of the Science & Health Student Center which provides wraparound services to the interest area students. All this to provide student-centered instruction and services that meet our students in whatever phase of their academic journey they find themselves in.
Outside of 糖心Vlog, Dr. Ramos enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and traveling. He also serves as an executive board member of a non-profit that facilitates healthcare for student-athletes of underserved communities.
