- Build relationships with local high schools and potential students
What are my responsibilities?- Review, evaluate, and approve articulation requests
- Work with high school teachers to ensure high school course matches your SLOs
- Provide final exam/project to high school teachers
What is the approval process?1. The Articulation Coordinator will receive and review a request for Articulation from a District for completeness of submitted materials. The request will then be forwarded to the appropriate department/discipline for review.
2. The department/discipline faculty will review the submitted materials and determine if sufficient equivalency exists. If college faculty determine that the potential for articulation exists, the college faculty will work with the high school teacher to any recommend changes to the secondary curriculum that would allow articulation to occur.
3. Once approved by the college faculty, the Articulation Coordinator will prepare the articulation agreement and distributes it for signatures. (If it is the first time a course is being articulated, the course must be approved by the Curriculum Committee as eligible for 鈥淐redit by Exam鈥.)
4. Once all signatures have been collected, the college faculty will supply the secondary school with the final exam/project. The agreement is valid for three years. -
